sweet shoppe bakery birthday

for my daughter's fifth birthday, we decided to have a "sweet shoppe bakery" party...
truth be told, here is how it really went down: she wanted a barbie party, but through my campaign for a sweet shoppe party (strategies included showing her my "sweet shoppe pinterest board" and helping her imagine all those sweets)...she was convinced and in the end, even barbie couldn't beat out the promise of her own sweet shoppe, lots of pink frosting and cake decorating with all her friends.

above i mentioned my "sweet shoppe pinterest board" (i. love. pinterest.) which is where i found so many amazing ideas for our sweet shoppe bakery party. (you can find this board by clicking on the red pinterest button to the right) also through pinterest, i discovered the online shop--shop sweet lulu. its a-dor-able. the cutest collection of party supplies ever.

planning, pinning, crafting, decorating and baking for this party was so much fun--
so without further ado...here is our sweet shoppe bakery {pinterest-inspired} party:

{mantel decorations...the balloons were a quick & festive fix for a dirty fireplace}

{banners created using cricut, cardstock, scrapbook paper (october afternoon), ribbon & tulle}

{the aprons were purchased at kng.com and the cupcake embellishments from Michael's $1 bins
i painted the girls' names on the pocket using vinyl stencils I cut out on my cricut.}

{sweet-shoppe-lollipop banner}

{sweet shoppe candy buffet}

{as the girls arrived, they decorated a gumball with their name to put into the gumball machine}

{fifteen pink cakes frosted and ready...}

{time to decorate!}

{birthday girl's cake}

{sweet shoppe freeze dance}

sweet shoppe song playlist:
